I thought I needed a new TV until I turned off these settings

My TCL Google TV is four years old, and it doesn't perform anywhere near as well as it did on day one. And it's not like I didn't try anything to fix it. I did the usual bit of installing updates, clearing the cache, removing pre-installed apps, and even freeing up storage. All of this would work for a while, but then I’d be right back where I started after a week or two.
