4 "smart" home gadgets that don't need Wi-Fi or an app

I have a home filled with devices connected to my router, but I'm not fully convinced that these have made my home smarter. In fact, many of my favorite purchases, those I can recommend with an unequivocal yes, don't require an app at all.
