Sync notes between devices

Sync keeps the browser, Android app and other devices connected to the same account.

Normal sync

  1. Log in with the same email on each device.
  2. Open Notepad and wait for the notes list to load.
  3. Use Sync Notes if a recent change has not appeared yet.

Offline notes after login

If you created notes before logging in, the app tries to import those local notes once after login. After that, normal sync is used.

  • Do not close the app during the first sync after login.
  • Keep internet enabled until the notes appear in the list.
  • If the connection fails, open the app again and use Sync Notes.
When another device changes notes, the open notes list can detect that and retrieve the update without requiring constant heavy server checks.
