The old app stored notes locally and could lose them after Android updates, app cache cleanup or uninstall. Migration sends the notes to your online account.
Before migrating
Do not uninstall the app.
Use a valid email you can access.
Keep internet enabled.
Do not close the app while notes are being sent.
Migration steps
Open the migration screen in the app.
Enter your email.
Synchronize the old notes.
Continue to create a password or log in.
Open the new Notepad and wait for notes to load.
If notes do not appear
Use Sync Notes in the new version.
Check if you logged in with the same email used during migration.
Restart the device and try opening the old version link again if available.
If the old local notes disappeared before migration, the server cannot recover notes that were never sent.
